After rallying from a 17-point first-quarter deficit to topple North Carolina State a week ago, the Seminoles (5-0, 3-0 ACC) ripped off 40 unanswered points to turn a game that was tied at 3-3 late in the opening half into an all-out rout. Florida State got contributions from all phases in its 21st consecutive win. Winston threw a 59-yard touchdown pass to Travis Rudolph and ran for a score, Roberto Aguayo tied a school record by drilling five field goals and a stifling defense forced three turnovers while limiting the Demon Deacons to 126 total yards. Ole Miss is 5-0 for the first time since 1962, when it went 10-0 and claimed a share of the national title that season. Laquon Treadwell and Vince Sanders each hauled in a touchdown pass from Wallace, while Evan Engram paced the hosts with 71 yards receiving. Blake Sims converted 19-of-31 passes for 228 yards with a rushing touchdown and an interception. T.J. Yeldon had 123 yards rushing on 20 carries for Alabama (4-1, 1-1). Boykin ended up 20-of-38 passing while contributing 77 yards on 22 attempts for the Horned Frogs (4-0, 1-0 Big 12), who posted their first-ever win on their home field against Oklahoma in their sixth try. B.J. Catalon posted a rushing and receiving TD apiece, while Deante Gray added a touchdown reception and Kolby Listenbee racked up 103 yards on five grabs. Samaje Perine crossed the goal line three more times, though racking up just 78 yards on 25 carries for the Sooners (4-1, 1-1), who saw their eight-game winning streak halted. Trevor Knight was just 14-of-35 for 309 yards and threw two costly interceptions. He also added 61 yards on 13 attempts in defeat. Final Score: (5) Auburn 41, (15) LSU 7 Auburn, AL (SportsNetwork.com) - If there is such a thing as a revenge game, No. 5 Auburn sure had one against No. 15 LSU on Saturday night at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Nick Marshall accounted for four touchdowns to lead Auburn to a 41-7 rout of LSU and help avenge the programs only regular-season loss last season. Marshall passed for 207 yards with two touchdowns and also ran for 119 yards with two scores for Auburn (5-0, 2-0 SEC), which lost 35-21 at LSU last season. Cameron Artis-Payne rushed for 126 yards on 24 carries and Sammie Coates hauled in four passes for 144 yards and a touchdown in the win. A big reason LSU (4-2, 0-2) struggled throughout the evening was because of its faulty quarterback play. Freshman Brandon Harris, who made his first collegiate start, went 3-for-14 for 58 yards in just over two quarters. Anthony Jennings replaced Harris in the third and didnt perform much better, completing 5-of-10 passes for 84 yards. Kenny Hilliards rushing touchdown accounted for the only LSU score. Final Score: (12) Mississippi State 48, (6) Texas A&M 31 Starkville, MS (SportsNetwork.com) - Dak Prescott solidified himself as a true Heisman Trophy candidate and his 12th-ranked Mississippi State Bulldogs emerged as a contender in the powerful SEC on Saturday with a thorough 48-31 victory over No. 6 Texas A&M at Davis Wade Stadium. Prescott completed 19- of-25 passes for 259 yards with two touchdowns and ran for 77 yards with three scores, while Josh Robinson added 107 yards and two touchdowns on the ground for the Bulldogs (5-0, 2-0 SEC). Mississippi State extended its winning streak to eight games dating back to last year. The Bulldogs have won their first five games for the second time in three seasons, although the 2012 team was 7-0 before losing five of its last six. This years Bulldog squad appears to be for real, winning consecutive games against top-10 teams for the first time in school history. They were idle last week after winning at then-No. 8 LSU for the first time since 1991. Another test against a ranked foe awaits next week when Auburn visits Scott Field. Texas A&M quarterback Kenny Hill struggled for most of the first half, then turned it on in the second half and finished with 365 yards passing. He threw four touchdown passes, but was also intercepted three times. The Aggies (5-1, 2-1), who had a six-game winning streak stopped, were trying for their first 6-0 start since the 1994 team opened with seven victories en route to a 10-0-1 season. Petty completed 7-of-22 passes for 111 yards for the Bears (5-0, 2-0 Big 12), who have started 5-0 in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 1916 and 1917. Shock Linwood carried the ball 28 times for 148 yards and a score for Baylor, which entered Saturdays game leading the FBS in scoring offense (56.8 ppg) and total offense (641.0 ypg). The Bears were limited to 390 yards of total offense. Tyrone Swoopes connected on 15-of-33 passes for 142 yards and two interceptions for the Longhorns (2-3, 1-1). He also carried the ball 13 times for 38 yards. Johnathan Gray rushed for 81 yards and one touchdown on 13 carries. Final Score: Utah 30, (8) UCLA 28 Pasadena, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Andy Phillips kicked a 29-yard field goal with less than a minute remaining to give Utah a 30-28 upset win over No. 8 UCLA on Saturday night at the Rose Bowl. Utah didnt trail until late in the fourth quarter, when UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley went up top and found Eldridge Massington for a 40-yard touchdown to make it 28-27 in favor of the home team. Devontae Booker led Utah down the field on the decisive possession, with his 15-yard run on 3rd-and-4 from the UCLA 32 setting up Phillips kick. Booker carried a career-high 33 times for 156 yards. Mobile QB Kendal Thompson relieved starter Travis Wilson early on and ignited Utahs offense. The transfer from Oklahoma completed 10-of-13 passes for 95 yards and a touchdown and ran for 83 yards. Utah (4-1, 1-1 Pac-12) beat an AP top-10 team on the road for just the second time in school history. Final Score: (9) Notre Dame 17, (14) Stanford 14 South Bend, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Everett Golson struggled with the cold, wet elements at Notre Dame Stadium for 57 minutes. But not the final three. Golson tossed a go-ahead 23-yard touchdown pass to Ben Koyack with 1:01 remaining and No. 9 Notre Dame beat No. 14 Stanford 17-14 on Saturday. Golson, who set a Notre Dame (5-0) record with 25 straight completions during a 31-15 win over Syracuse last Saturday, wasnt as accurate in this one. He skipped throws, overthrew some open receivers and threw behind targets, finishing 20-of-43 for 241 yards with two touchdowns, an interception and a lost fumble. Despite all that, though, Golson still found a way to drive the Fighting Irish down the field for the winning score to help improve Notre Dame to 5-0 for just the third time since 1996. Final Score: (10) Michigan State 27, (19) Nebraska 22 East Lansing, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - After taking a huge lead into the fourth quarter, No. 10 Michigan State had to fight for its life to pull out a 27-22 win over 19th-ranked Nebraska on Saturday night at Spartan Stadium. Tony Lippett caught a touchdown pass and ran in another for MSU (4-1, 1-0 Big Ten), which led 27-3 through 45 minutes before the upset-minded Cornhuskers began chipping away. Ameer Abdullah, the nations leading rusher coming into the game, was held in check on the ground but scored two rushing touchdowns in the final period. DeMornay Pierson-El added a punt return touchdown and after Spartans kicker Michael Geiger hit the left upright with a field goal try, Nebraska took over with 1:07 remaining at its own 20. Tommy Armstrong Jr. fired a strike to Alonzo Moore down the right sideline for 43 yards into MSU territory. Armstrong looked for Moore again on the next play, nearly connecting with the sophomore receiver in the back of the end zone, but the ball popped free from Moore as he went to the ground. Armstrong was intercepted by Trae Waynes on the very next play. Connor Cook completed 11- of-29 passes for 234 yards, a touchdown and an interception during an uneven performance under center for the Spartans, who beat Nebraska for the second straight season. Jeremy Langford carried 29 times for 111 yards and a score. The Cornhuskers (5-1, 1-1) were the last unbeaten team in the Big Ten. Hutson Mason threw two touchdown passes to Chris Conley as the Bulldogs (4-1, 2-1 SEC) won their third straight game. Mason was 11-of-17 for 121 yards with one interception. Ralph Webb and Dallas Rivers both had a touchdown run for the Commodores (1-5, 0-4), who defeated the Bulldogs last year to snap a six-game losing streak in the series. Jaelen Strong caught a 46-yard Hail Mary pass for a touchdown on the final play of the game and Arizona State shocked No. 16 Southern California 38-34 on Saturday night. Mike Bercovici, filling in for an injured Taylor Kelly, capped his 510-yard passing night by tossing his third TD pass to Strong, who leapt in front of USCs Hayes Pullard at the goal line to give Arizona State its first win at the Coliseum since 1999. The Sun Devils scored the final 13 points after Javorius Allens 53-yard TD run gave the Trojans a 34-25 lead with 3:02 left. Bercovici completed 27-of-45 passes and tossed five touchdowns, while Strong hauled in 10 receptions for 202 yards for the Sun Devils (4-1, 2-1 Pac-12), who was thrashed by UCLA 62-27 last Thursday. Then, just like that, the right-hander went back to being dominant, pitching into the seventh inning despite the erratic early control, and Jay Bruce drove in a run for a fifth consecutive game as the Reds beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-2.
